The 18-year-old took his first steps in years Monday on legs designed and donated by Stockton's Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics.

The 18-year-old took his first steps in years Monday on legs designed and donated by Stockton's Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics.Ivic would remain wheelchair bound, his family unable to afford quality medical care. His outlook was bleak until last year, when two Stockton groups helped him walk again.

How it all Started?

It all started in 1991 when the war started in former Yugoslavia.

The heart of Milos Supica started the humanitarian organization Save Serbian Children, (SSC). Being sympathetic to his homeland, Milos Supica never hesitated to extend a helping hand to those less fortunate.Supica immediately started to formulate a plan for providing relief to the suffering.
